Product Description
Original WW2 British 2 Inch Mortar Tail Fin – FD Ltd 1941
An original British 2-inch mortar bomb tail fin assembly dating from the Second World War.
The tail is clearly marked “12 FD LTD 1941-3 Z”, dating it to 1941. The “Z” marking denotes the zinc-based Mazak alloy construction used for wartime 2-inch mortar tail units.
It also carries the British War Department broad arrow inspection/acceptance mark and retains traces of its original wartime paint.
A particularly nice dated component, ideal for completing a 2-inch mortar display or as a standalone piece of British WWII ordnance history.
Condition: Good original used condition with age-related wear, marks and paint loss as shown in the photographs.
Completely inert and empty. No explosive or hazardous components present. For historical collecting and display purposes only.
