Product Description

Original inert .276 Pedersen experimental rifle cartridge manufactured by Kynoch, Birmingham, England, in 1930.

Headstamped "K 30 .276", this scarce cartridge was produced during the trials and development period of the famous .276 Pedersen cartridge. Developed for U.S. military rifle trials and early Garand rifle testing, the .276 Pedersen was considered a potential replacement for the .30-06 Springfield before the project was ultimately cancelled.

This example features the characteristic bottlenecked case and pointed spitzer projectile associated with the .276 Pedersen design. British-made Kynoch examples are significantly less common than American production and are highly sought after by collectors of experimental military ammunition and Garand development items.

A superb collector's piece representing an important chapter in the development of twentieth-century military small arms.
