An original inert 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge manufactured in 1943 for the German Wehrmacht.

The headstamp dou identifies Waffenwerke Brünn A.G., Werk Povážská Bystrica, one of Germany's major wartime ammunition factories located in occupied Czechoslovakia (modern-day Slovakia). The factory produced millions of cartridges for German rifles and machine guns throughout the Second World War.
