An original British Army 1944 Pattern Webbing Waist Belt (Normal Size), a key component of the British Army's late-war 1944 Pattern Web Equipment.
Introduced during the final stages of the Second World War, the 1944 Pattern equipment was designed to improve upon the earlier 1937 Pattern webbing system, providing a simpler and more practical load-carrying arrangement for infantry soldiers. The waist belt formed the foundation of the entire webbing set, supporting ammunition pouches, bayonet frog, small pack and other field equipment.
This original dated example retains its khaki webbing construction and military fittings, remaining in excellent condition with strong webbing, clear markings and only light signs of age. The "Normal Size" version was the standard issue belt supplied to the majority of British and Commonwealth troops.
A highly desirable item for collectors seeking to assemble a complete 1944 Pattern webbing set or create an authentic British Army display.
