Product Description

The British Lightweight Gas Mask was a type of gas mask used by British military personnel during World War II. The mask was designed to provide protection against a variety of toxic gases and airborne particles, which were a significant threat to soldiers during the war.

The Lightweight Gas Mask was so named because it was significantly lighter than earlier models, making it easier to wear for extended periods of time. The mask had a lightweight rubber facepiece, which covered the entire face and included a transparent eye-piece for visibility. The mask was fitted with a filter canister, which could be replaced when it became saturated.

The mask was designed to be compact and portable, and could be easily carried in a canvas or rubberized gas mask bag. It was used extensively by British soldiers in a variety of combat situations, including in the trenches and during chemical attacks.
