Product Description

J.S. Fforde 10 shillings Red Brown Portrait B310 is a banknote issued by the Bank of England. It was in circulation from 1961 to 1969. The banknote is signed by J.S. Fforde, who served as the Chief Cashier of the Bank of England from 1966 to 1970.

The obverse of the note features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with the words "Bank of England" and the denomination "Ten Shillings" printed on it.

The serial number of the note you mentioned, C93N185503, is a unique identifier that is used to distinguish it from other banknotes in circulation. The first two letters of the serial number, C9, indicate the year in which the note was printed, which in this case was 1963. The other digits in the serial number are used to uniquely identify the note.
