Original inert Portuguese .303 British cartridge with AE 1936 headstamp, manufactured by the Arsenal do Exército, Portugal during the pre-Second World War period.
Dated 1936, this cartridge represents early Portuguese military production of the famous .303 British calibre, widely used throughout the first half of the 20th century in military rifles and machine guns.
The AE headstamp identifies production by the Portuguese state military arsenal, making this an increasingly collectible interwar European .303 variant.
Featuring the classic rimmed .303 British case design and original military headstamp format, this example makes an excellent addition to any Portuguese militaria collection, Commonwealth ammunition display, or .303 headstamp reference set.
