Product Description

  1. This original inert DWM 6.5mm Swedish Mauser cartridge is a fine example of early European cartridge manufacture, produced by the renowned Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM). The cartridge features the distinctive “KK 431C” headstamp, identifying it as part of DWM’s catalogue system, which assigned specific numbers to individual cartridge designs and loadings.

The 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser cartridge was adopted in 1894 and became the standard service round for Swedish and Norwegian military forces. It earned an excellent reputation for accuracy, mild recoil, and long-range performance, and remained in military and sporting use for decades. The calibre is closely associated with the famous Swedish Mauser rifles, including the Model 1896, which are still highly regarded by collectors and shooters today.

This inert example retains its original brass case and authentic headstamp markings, preserving its historic and collector appeal. The round has been professionally deactivated and contains no live primer or propellant, ensuring it is completely safe for handling, display, or educational purposes.
