All orders are subject to a delivery, packing & handling charge.  When  shipping items, we use the UK Royal Mail, EVRI, DPD and Parcel Force in the event of a parcel arriving with contents damaged ALL the packaging must be kept for inspection by the delivering shipping contractor whoever that contractor is, failure to adhere to this WILL result in ANY claim being denied.

Product Description

Size 9 as Issued as a universal boot for all ranks from the early 1960s, the 'Boots, DMS' had a sole that was directly molded to the leather upper. Reasonably comfortable for working dress they did have their practical difficulties when worn in the field. Unless worn with the issued nylon inner soles, feet would sweat badly, the rubber soles 'drawing' the feet. In cold weather the boot was far from practical as once saturated the soldier's feet would suffer accordingly, this being a major criticism during the Falklands War when many soldiers suffered trench foot. The DMS boot was worn in conjunction with the earlier 1937 pattern canvas anklets or short khaki puttees until being finally phased out in the late 1980s. (Certain troops, such as the Guards Division, retained the former steel shod leather soled General Service Boot for ceremonial occasions).
