Product Description

An original 1931 dated .30-06 Springfield inert cartridge featuring a Frankford Arsenal headstamp, representing genuine United States military ammunition production from the interwar period.

The .30-06 Springfield cartridge became one of the most famous military rifle calibres ever produced and served as the primary US service cartridge for decades. It was used extensively in iconic American firearms such as the M1903 Springfield rifle, M1917 Enfield, Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), and later the legendary M1 Garand.

The Frankford Arsenal, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was one of America’s most important military ammunition manufacturing facilities and played a central role in the development and production of US military small arms ammunition during the early and mid-20th century.

Dated 1931, this cartridge originates from the important interwar period between the First and Second World Wars, reflecting continued US military stock production and training preparation prior to America’s entry into WW2.

This example retains authentic military appearance with clear headstamp markings and attractive age-related patina, making it an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of US militaria, Garand history, or historic American military ammunition.
